2. Lawful Bases for Processing (UK GDPR Article 6)

We only collect and process personal data where there is a clear, lawful justification under UK data protection legislation:

a) Contractual Necessity (Art. 6(1)(b))

Processing necessary to provide quotes, conduct technical site surveys, execute electrical rewires or EV charger installations, conduct statutory EICR inspections, and issue test documentation and invoices.

b) Legal Obligation & Statutory Compliance (Art. 6(1)(c))

Mandatory statutory obligations, including notifying Local Authority Building Control via our NAPIT Competent Person Scheme (Part P compliance), submitting G98/G99/Connect & Notify applications to Distribution Network Operators (Electricity North West), managing OZEV grant compliance data for DVLA audits, and maintaining financial records under HMRC tax laws.

c) Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f))

Managing client accounts, dispatching 24/7 emergency electrical engineering teams across Greater Manchester, ensuring cybersecurity of our web applications, and resolving warranty claims under our 3-year workmanship guarantee.

d) Explicit Consent (Art. 6(1)(a))

Where you have explicitly opted in to receive electrical safety updates, smart tariff advisory bulletins, or our newsletter via our website forms. Consent can be revoked at any time.

3. Categories of Personal Data We Collect

To deliver certified electrical installations and safety certifications, we collect the following data points:

4. Statutory Data Sharing & Regulatory Bodies

As an accredited electrical engineering firm, we are mandated by UK electrical safety standards (BS 7671) and building laws to share specific installation and certification data with statutory bodies:

NAPIT (Competent Person Scheme)

We transmit certificate and property data to NAPIT for statutory notification of notifiable work under Part P of the Building Regulations in England and Wales.

Distribution Network Operators (DNO)

For all EV charger and heat pump installations, we submit property address, MPAN, and maximum electrical demand to Electricity North West (or relevant DNO) under ENA Connect & Notify / G98 rules.

OZEV & DVLA

Where you apply for the £350/£500 government EV Chargepoint Grant, we submit required property, tenancy proof, and vehicle VRN data to the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles.

HMRC & Legal Authorities

Financial and transaction records are provided to HM Revenue & Customs as required under UK statutory company accounting law.

Our website utilizes modern caching and privacy-conscious measurement tools to deliver ultra-fast mobile loading and assess user journeys:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Essential for session state, navigation persistence, and quote submission security.
  • Performance & Analytics (Google Analytics & Clarity): Anonymized metrics regarding user interactions, session durations, and PageSpeed metrics. Script loading is deferred until user interaction to conserve mobile bandwidth.
  • Advertising Attribution (Meta Pixel / Google Ads): Measures the effectiveness of our emergency electrician and EV installation advertising campaigns across Greater Manchester.

Access to our internal certification registers and client records is strictly restricted to certified engineers and vetted administrative staff using multi-factor authentication (MFA) and role-based access control (RBAC).
